Hi Guys,

 

Firstly I hope you all had a good xmas and have a happy new year. 2024 promises to be an exciting year for our hobby. I for one am holding back on a components upgrade until MS2024 arrives on the scene and will be patient.

 

Right, on with the question.

 

I have a lot of aircraft and liveries I will never use so wish to take them out of circulation..

 

In regards to liveries where is the aircraft.cfg located and also how to put aircraft permanently in the hangar.

anything, airports and aircraft, can be removed permanently via PROFILE/Content manager. if instead you simply delete them manually via windows file manager, MSFS will re-install them with the next MSFS update.

I have simply deleted all airplanes i never use out of the main MSFS folder. As for the liveries you can do the same with the subfolders.

I think the right word here is persistently--the removal is not permanent, e.g. you can reinstall deleted content again later if you wish (anything deleted remains available in your account), but the removal persists until/unless you do reinstall it.
