Loving the Lear 35 so far. Thank you for the continuing stream of updates. Is there a default program setting that aligns with the Nose Wheel Steering activation button that can be assigned to a controller button through the standard program controllers settings and options menu?

It's helpful to read the Change Logs  ......

From the Lear ver 1.0.4 Change Log:
 The STEER LOCK button on the pedestal can now toggle using the default binding tail-hook handle from the sims joystick assignments. Once you use this assignment the button on the center pedestal will be INOP. The yoke MWS button can still be used for the momentary action.
4. The pilot and copilot MSW red button is the momentary steer lock button and reset for all autopilot modes. This can now be assigned to the default binding G Limiter ON/OFF. You need to assign the same key to both. And for the OFF you will set for release action. This makes is a momentary button. See link to video tutorial.
5. The pilot and copilot manuv R/P button is the momentary maneuvering button. This can now be assigned to the default binding Smoke ON/OFF. You need to assign the same key to both. And for the OFF you will set for release action. This makes is a momentary button. See link to video tutorial.

From the Lear ver 1.0.5 Change Log:

1. Fixed the steer lock button on center pedestal to work with mouse and default binding.

Which button is this? Searched but found no answer. CWS but no MWS found. I meant on actual yoke hardware not in vc!

Below pic shows the MSW button (Control Wheel Master SWitch, MSW). Looks like I had a typo above, very sorry!

The standard bindings that FSW has set up are:

MANUV BUTTON (RHS YOKE) —
MANUV BUTTON : {bound to} : SMOKE ON (ON PRESS)
MANUV BUTTON : {bound to} : SMOKE OFF (ON RELEASE)

STEER LOCK BUTTON 1 (center console white STEER LOCK button replacement) —
STEER LOCK BUTTON : {bound to} : TOGGLE TAIL HOOK HANDLE

STEER LOCK BUTTON 2 (RED  BUTTON ON LHS OF YOKE) —

STEER BUTTON : {bound to} : G LIMITER ON (ON PRESS)
STEER BUTTON : {bound to} : G LIMITER OFF (ON RELEASE)

Make sure you get the on press and on release correct. MSFS also doesn't set the 'on release' on first attempt so it takes two tries.

Brilliant thanks that was the info I was after! Yes, I'm well experienced with the infamous 'assign twice to release' bug!

This works brilliantly! Used a view button on yoke that's a little fiddly but might use another button now I can't live without it!

All I need now is to work on yaw damper disconnect during approach but that's a different subject!

The Lvar L:GENERIC_LEAR_YAW_PRI_ENG turns the PRImary Lear yaw damper on and off (1 = on, 0 = off) if the yaw damper power is on. The Lvar L:GENERIC_LEAR_YAW_SEC_ENG does the same for the SECondary yaw damper

The Lvars GENERIC_LEAR_YAW_PRI_PWR and GENERIC_LEAR_YAW_SEC_PWR turn the primary and secondary yaw damper power on and off ((1 = on, 0 = off)

Can I trigger these using default MSFS settings or must I use FSUIPC/spad? So far I've managed to survive well using only default so don't want to use a separate app to control just one or two settings. I do own FSUIPC 7 and used it extensively in FSX along with Linda but I'm trying to keep things simpler as I age and load less add-ons as well! Thanks for reply btw!

There are no default MSFS bindings for the Yaw Dampers in the Lear as far as I know.  You need to use FSUIPC7 or Spad.Next, etc.
