And when you fly the magenta line on NAV, as the aircraft swings into range of the landing Localizer, it automatically switches to LOC1 and as long as you are in the approach feathers height profile & have remembered to press the NAV1 button, the ILS is pretty much guaranteed.

I guess you haven't used the G1000x much? All MSFS Aircraft that have it installed react that way.

Put in several hours on it yesterday.

Top notch aircraft, well worth the asking price.

Only ? I noticed was it moves around quite a lot in the air.

Had a cross wind of 15 kts at 10,000' & it was bouncing, & twisting about the CofG in the horizontal plane, a bit more than I anticipated.

Does it move about IRL?

While I haven't flown the COWS DA42 yet, based on my real world training in a DA20 (which was like a roller coaster ride at times), the movement through the air looks realistic. The high-winged C172 is stable by comparison to these smaller, narrow winged trainers.
The A2A Comanche is the only payware that I have tried that feels like flying through an airflow, as in real life. It's not 100% accurate because this isn't real life but it's the closest yet.

I wouldn't compare light DA20 with multiengine aircraft! LOL It's like you only flown Cessna 172 and try access how would 414 would fly
