Deleting Unused Stuff from Content Manager

Featured Replies

Evening all.

As I only fly VFR using tube liners there is a lot of content in the manager which really i will never use. Bush Trips, Training Aids and similar.

Can someone please advise as to what can be deleted from the Content Manager without affecting the core product.

Many thanks.

I have deinstalled all unused aircraft, missions and world updates without any noticeable effect.

Did the same just yesterday! Bush trips, challenges, training stuff, WU's I never use, all planes apart from 3 I might still use (of which I only kept the standard liveries) and so on. All gone. Take note though (bit if a bummer) that uninstalled default planes still show up in the hangar...

Additional info: also take note that mandatory core items cannot be deleted (even though you can select them together with items you actually can delete). Obviously this is done in order to prevent you from screwing up the sim. 😉 So don't fear deleting anything you want.

try this and you do not have to uninstall anything, but you won't see it in the menu!

Would deleting these files make for a faster start of the sim?

Perfect, thanks for the video link, mate 🤘!

Upon examining your signature, which is similar to mine, I highly recommend checking out the following videos. I have achieved outstanding results with no stutters or high-temperature issues.

Especially interested in this particular video as my CPU temps are...well, they're not out of control, but they're a little higher than I would like.

Cheers for the link.

Cheers for the link.

On my PC, with his adjustments, I'm at 38-40 degrees on the GPU and 50 to 58 degrees on the CPU. There are no throttling, stuttering, or fan noises; I have the FPS locked at 60, and at JFK with PMDG, I get 60 FPS with ultra settings. I guess he's got pretty good knowledge. Personally, I'm very pleased with his findings. You should be able to achieve the same results.
