February 19, 20242 yr Hi. I flight 737-800 pmdg. When I am in landing conf , With flaps 25, 30 or 40, the red lines above and below the speed indicator are very close together, with the bottom one at 150 or 160 and the top one at 180 or so. In this way the plane stalls easily. The speedbrake is not set. Do you know what is the problem? Regards

February 19, 20242 yr Either your perf and weight isn't correct or you are over max landing weight. When I flew heavies, you would kinda be in this region for your emergency return data because you may be at max takeoff weight and well above the max landing weight. You still return because if you had a cabin fire, you are not going to putz around burning off/dumping gas. You had to be careful for the emergency return approach because your landing speeds put you up against max speed for landing flaps. We always briefed "dump from gear up till gear down" and take what ever weight that will get you. Edited February 19, 20242 yr by G550flyer Edit Rick D http://g5flyer.tumblr.com/
