I think 4 years sounds about right, but I have three desktops (gaming, work, and wife's) so any upgrade to the top tier (gaming pc) flows new upgrades to the lower tiers. In 3-5 years my work pc will have a 4090 which is crazy. 

This AMD CPU is amazing. Getting far lower temps, less power usage and it destroys my 10850k. They really are killing it.

    It's probably a matter of settings changed in between the reinstallation of the GPU and its drivers.  Considering that people hear sound improvements just by putting spikes underneath the CD play

Just an update on my PC. Everything runs great and I am locked at 60 fps at 4k. I did find this video very helpful, as MSFS was prioritizing the non-x3D cores. I went ahead and used this video to make the changes, and now performance is even better. This may also explain why the 7800x3D performed better than the 7950x3D. I wonder what those benchmarks would show after getting the 3D cores working properly?
