March 4, 20242 yr You can find ACE in the ”Captain Sim” P3D folder for each product, i.e. you do not need to download it separately. 🙂 Edited March 4, 20242 yr by Blasb i9 14900K / Corsair Nautilus RS ARGB liquid CPU Cooler / MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi / 64GB Trident DDR5 RAM @ 7200 mhz / 24GB Gainward 3090 Geforce RTX / 2 TB SSD WD Black SN850X NVMe / 1 TB SSD Samsung 990 Pro series / 2 TB SSD Samsung 980 Pro Series / 500 gb and 250 gb SSD Samsung Evo 850 / RM1000W Corsair PSU - P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11 and FSX

March 5, 20242 yr This is a real problem for me. Despite following all of CS's instruction for downloading their aircraft, (making sure av is off etc), I cannot get ace to appear as part of the downloaded product. This is for the 757 and 767 in P3d v5.4. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks. Malcolm Hancock

It's not a part of the aircraft installation folders, it goes here: Your P3D root folder\Captain_Sim\757-III\ace\ace_757.exe It will appear in your start menu inside "Captain Sim". Look there instead. Edited March 6, 20242 yr by Reader
March 6, 20242 yr Thank you for your reply "Reader". I have gone through this process before and just to make sure I tried a reinstall this morning, and yes the ACE exe is there just like before, however, when I right click on it and run as administrator it will not open which is what I have experienced before. Any further thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks. Malcolm Hancock
March 6, 20242 yr Do you think that your anti virus software could be stopping it? You can always exclude the exe file from its attention.

Any further thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks. Some things you can try to do: Right click your start button and select Command prompt (Admin) to bring up elevated Command prompt. In Command prompt type sfc /scannow and press enter. Restart your computer after this and try ACE. Another thing is to download the latest .NET framework. If you miss any of these files, this could potentially stop you from starting applications. A final thing to try is to open the file properties of the relevant file and press "unblock" (sometimes certain files can be blocked automatically for strange reasons). Hopefully one of the above suggestions can help you fix your issue. i9 14900K / Corsair Nautilus RS ARGB liquid CPU Cooler / MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi / 64GB Trident DDR5 RAM @ 7200 mhz / 24GB Gainward 3090 Geforce RTX / 2 TB SSD WD Black SN850X NVMe / 1 TB SSD Samsung 990 Pro series / 2 TB SSD Samsung 980 Pro Series / 500 gb and 250 gb SSD Samsung Evo 850 / RM1000W Corsair PSU - P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11 and FSX
March 6, 20242 yr Hi Blasb. Thanks for your reply. I have tried 2 of your 3 suggestions with no joy I'm afraid. The last option, well I went to properties in the ACE exe but could not find a "unblock" tag as such. Could you point me in the specific direction please. Thanks again. Malcolm Hancock

Seems like the unblock option is not really possible in this case then unfortunately. But really weird that you cannot start the application, try the captain sim forum (saw some suggestions there that you might want to try!). 🙂 i9 14900K / Corsair Nautilus RS ARGB liquid CPU Cooler / MSI Z790 Tomahawk WiFi / 64GB Trident DDR5 RAM @ 7200 mhz / 24GB Gainward 3090 Geforce RTX / 2 TB SSD WD Black SN850X NVMe / 1 TB SSD Samsung 990 Pro series / 2 TB SSD Samsung 980 Pro Series / 500 gb and 250 gb SSD Samsung Evo 850 / RM1000W Corsair PSU - P3Dv5.4, X-Plane 12, X-Plane 11 and FSX
March 6, 20242 yr Thanks Blasb but regarding CS forum, I have been there and done that and tried all suggestions, but with no joy sadly. Just don't know what to do! Anything from anyone would be much appreciated. Thanks. Malcolm Hancock
