Odd military flight over San Fernando Valley.

Recommended Posts

Right over the famous all American valley near Los Angeles in So. Calif. (where the term Valley Girl comes from).

It's from the California Guard Joint Training Base in Los Alamitos. A Beech Queen Air. It's like they're tracking something. People

are phoning the news and 911 wondering why the plane was up there carpentering a residential area.

That is not a military flight. N66W is a civilian aircraft. They were probably doing a photo mapping flight, to update Google Maps or Bing Maps or some other customer, or possibly performing a LIDAR scan.
