King Air 350 Albania

Featured Replies

Hi all,

here I started at LGKR Ioannis Kapodistrias on Korfu where I have the FT scenery. Made no shots there but it can be seen in my other post featuring the Gulfstream IV.

Than overflying Albania with it's beautiful mountains and Tirana and Podgorica, Montenegro. A few more shots at the southcoast  of Croatia and I had to stop because of the

20 shots and I wanted to land at LIPV. Could have made 50 shots on that trip.

The plane is the nice Airfoillabs KA350 which is a studylevel aircraft where everything is modeled. This is how you can practice with King Air.

Scenery was done using Ortho4XP in ZL16 which is agreed to be a good compromise between filesize and quality, ZL 17 allows you to fly lower of course but files are about 4 times larger.

Nice pics!

Not really, they had a job to do at LGKR which belongs to Greece. 🙂 It's a nice paint of the plane anyway, looks good.

Beautiful series of pics of the en-route scenery, Andreas...!

I've always liked the King Air...like the one in MSFS too, but it needs refinement in the avionics...glad you've a model with better fidelity...

Thanks for sharing these sights of Albania...!

Excellent screenies, Andreas. And the Orthos look very convincing. I think I still must have over 2 TB of orthos hidden on one of my HDs. But since MSFS came out, I haven't touched XP anymore. Great to see that you still use it.

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Thank's a lot P_7878, glad you like it. The King Air is a wonderful design. Started flying it in fs9 nearly 20 years ago, it was the Aeroworx B200, wonderful,

had a fully functional VC, was a sensation in those days. As far as I know a KA350 with Garmin glass cockpit as it is in msfs does not exist in this world.

It's either analog cockpit using steam gauges as my plane in XP or the Proline avionics. Carenado has it for P3d, perhaps they bring it to msfs later.

But they are very slow adapting all the planes for msfs. They overhaul all the textures and so on...

Thank you very much Bernd! I won't say that msfs is really better than XP, I can make a long list of reasons. It's only the worldwide scenery but I also have nearly 2 TB orthoscenery

for it and if it's no TE I can use the simheaven overlay which is really great. I can fly from Gardermoen to Gibraltar and it's all TE-like scenery except that the Orbx colors are

generally better and more even. And I have some top notch planes in XP. So I will keep my 3 big sims running,,,,
