March 8, 20242 yr Hi all. this is a nice 2 hours flight in a jet. Of course not the standard route for this aircraft type, but that's why we fly in the sim...๐ ย At KPDX 28L and all systems seem to work which must be all checked in this plane of course. Otherwise there could be a very nasty surprise. Downtown Portland on the ground. Eugene Oregon and the airport called Mahlon Sweet Field in the background. Roseburg Oregon. Rogue Valley. Mount Shasta, you will always find it in that area... Lake/reservoir Shasta And the dam down there. Redding California. KRDD in the background. Northern California Central Valley. KSMF Sacramento International, and the model can well be improved... And Sacramento City in the backgound. Looks good, it's not the wrong area.... KSFO San Franciso International. It's really large if you compare it with all the B737 there. Thank you veray much for viewing! Cheers Andreas PC: Ryzen 7 3700x AM4, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3060 12GB, Storage SSD 3TB, HDD 8TB, USB 8TB, 2 Screens, Win10-64 SIMs: FSX SE, P3d 3.4/4.5/6.1, Xplane 10/11/12, MSFS 2020/24, Aerofly FS 4
March 8, 20242 yr Nice photos! Twenty five years ago, when AC was still flying the A340, it was pretty common to see that one on either the 8:00 am or the 6:00 pm (high demand)ย flight between YYZ and YUL...about 1-1/4 hour duration flight.

Thank's a lot, Oregon must be fantastic, have never been there in real life. 17 hours ago, rmeier said: Nice photos! The Toliss for Xplane is not within my budget. It works, also the A320, all major aspects are covered and looks quite well. But no studylevel aircraft. ย PC: Ryzen 7 3700x AM4, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3060 12GB, Storage SSD 3TB, HDD 8TB, USB 8TB, 2 Screens, Win10-64 SIMs: FSX SE, P3d 3.4/4.5/6.1, Xplane 10/11/12, MSFS 2020/24, Aerofly FS 4
March 9, 20242 yr Very nice pics...this is one of my favorite west-coast trips in the SIM... I recall the A340 well from RW.. For as long as I recall, Lufthansa used to fly us in their A340-600s out from Frankfurt...must have flown it many times (a very nice long-haul a/c of its time andย is one of theย reasons LH never acquired the B777)...They also had the -300, I believe, that they occasionally used on the same routes, but the -600 I recall most, because it was such a long plane...when one would climb up the air stairs (typically we would board it away from the gates on the tarmac..), I always checked the 340-600 label by theย door...๐... Thanks for sharing the A340, not seen much around here...!
March 9, 20242 yr Great shots, Andreas and as P_7878 already said, it'sย nice to see the A340 here again. That's one of the planes I'd love to have also in MSFS. Two other planes of similar caliber are the 707 and DC-8. Maybe one day. Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

The A 340-300 was still in operation at the "Bundeswehr" but is now out of service because it's too old, failures happened and most important politicians had to interrupt their journey, oh oh...๐ 20 hours ago, bernd1151 said: Great shots, Andreas and as P_7878 already said, it'sย nice to see the A340 here again.
