Crater Lake to Shady Cove Airpark

Recommended Posts

I just love the PNW area...  it's got beauty in all directions.  I'm flying back "home" to Shady Cove from Beaver Marsh (2S2) in my Husky.

Shady Cove Airpark (OG31) is payware (really cheap though) from Orbx.  This is a lovely freeware paint from DarkAngel: https://flightsim.to/file/62421/asobo-a1c-husky-n859ds

Leaving in the morning...

Here it is!  Formed by a volcanic eruption some thousands of years ago... the dome collapsed leaving the crater.  The lake is the deepest in the USA!

The area offers many options for hikers, tourists etc

Continuing SW we'll perform a touch and go at Ashland S03, fly through the class D at Medford Rogue Intl (superb freeware by Bullfrogsim), and then head to our airpark

The husky is known for it's backcountry STOL capabilities, all while boasting a nice cruise speed around 130 ktas.  I bought the Asobo one because I loved this paint hehe

Thanks John.  The world is my oyster hehe.  I should probably venture outside the USA - still so much to explore here.
