May 8, 20242 yr Went to file a few screenies, and got distracted looking at some old shots. Thought I'd post some of them here as a reminder of some old faces that haven't reappeared (yet?) for MSFS. When MSFS first came out I did convert a few older aircraft but not all were successful and most of the ones that were initially ended up u/s after a few MSFS updates. Not a big deal, got way more than I can reasonably use in the hangar now anyway, but there's always room for more! I'll start with one of my real all-time favourite aircraft. Had a couple of trips to the SAS museum at Omaha to see this beaut, and still got a couple of plastic model kits I bought there sitting around waiting to be built. That'll probably never happen now - not sure I've got the fine point dexterity to do such things any more. and this beast is also rather fine "come on if you think you're hard enough!" None of these warplanes are here because of their militaristic uses, I just like them aesthetically I actually like pretty much all of the the "century" jets, and had most of them for FSX/P3D And this always was a schoolboy favourite kind of thing especially painted like this! OK, so I do actually have one of these for MSFS but this one is better looking! Another major fave Not exactly pretty but remind me of my yoof and Southend Airport experimental is good Sea Dart - a jet with skis! Now that looks like fun The BUFF, well named! And lastly, this was an occasional delight! Got plenty more somewhere, might post some if I find them again. He-111 springs to mind, I know I've got some nice shots of that somewhere. May 9, 20242 yr Great post, Andy. The Hustler has an especially soft spot in my heart, as it was the second Revell model, after the B-727, that I built as a kid. I managed to convert the Glowing Heat FSX payware plane to MSFS, but it didn’t fly too well, so I gave up on it. Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds My specs: AMD Radeon RX6700XT, AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, 32GB RAM, 34" monitor, screen resolution: 2560x1080

Conspicuously leaving a set of XB-70 ignition keys on the bar would probably get you a lot of free drinks! 5 minutes ago, bernd1151 said: the second Revell model, after the B-727, that I built as a kid. Cheers Bernd, maybe not that exact sequence, but it was certainly one of the ones I built as a kid too. I wonder if kids still do that sort of thing. And likewise with the Glowing Heat version - was ok initially but got a bit flaky at some point. May 12, 20242 yr Great set of images of all shapes and sizes, Andy...surely brings back memories of our old SIMs....thanks for sharing...!
May 14, 20242 yr nice ideas, and the good news is that quite a few of them seem to be on their way to MSFS, like the B-29, B-58, the B-70 and the Javelin All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Thanks P_7878, when I look back through my old pix I realise how many great planes I've had over the (relatively few) years 39 minutes ago, jankees said: nice ideas, and the good news is that quite a few of them seem to be on their way to MSFS, like the B-29, B-58, the B-70 and the Javelin Cheers Jankees, and that's good to know.
