Visualising The Proton.

Recommended Posts

I've done some research, and from what I understand, those quarks move because of kinetic energy, but why is there kinetic energy in quarks?

By definition, things move when they have non-zero speed. Kinetic energy is basically speed squared. Hence, if quarks move, they have kinetic energy and vice versa.

Seeing this model of a proton, I have to share this.  Recently I came across a copy of "The Dancing Wu Li Masters" that I've had for years but never read, so now I'm about half way through it.  An absolutely fascinating layman level read on "new physics", quantum mechanics and Einstein's theories of relativity.  It's the kind of knowledge that puts a totally different lens on what is existence.  As a recently retired software engineer that worked in aerospace, I find it's the perfect read at the perfect time and I highly recommend it.  Though the book has it's naysayers, IMHO it's still pretty relevant but I do agree that the author's dipping into eastern mysticism becomes at times a bit too "dippy" 😄.  Thanks for the posting that link!
