July 3, 20241 yr Hello friends I installed PMDG777 for MSFS2020 (latest update) and within 5 minutes FS CTD. Event viewer indicates MSFS2020 Faulting module is offensive initials not allowed.dll. Checked it is fine and in place. Restarted sim again, another CTD in less than five minutes. Now the culprit is nvgpucom64.dll. Installed the latest Nvidea driver 556.12. Three tries afterwards. Sim crashed in under five minutes. To rule out if its PMDG777 or the sim, I loaded the PMDG737-800 which has been super stable and fun, the sim crashed in the same time frame. I am at a loss trying to figure out why the sim crashes instead of having a fun flight that takes a lot of preparation and planning. Your thoughts please. I have a high end machine with all the updates. Trying to report to MSFS flight forum there is no where to start a new topic. Best Bill C:|mydocuments\mypictures\my signature.htm
July 6, 20241 yr Author I cant believe not a single reply/advice. As if I am the only one with MSFS CTDs. Bill C:|mydocuments\mypictures\my signature.htm
July 6, 20241 yr I'd say there is an issue with your machine or a driver/conflicting software. Are you overclocking the machine at all? How many stick's of RAM are you using? XMP enabled? --Sean Hart
July 16, 20241 yr You are not the only one...the 777 keeps crashing on me with a mix of bsod and ctd all the time. I have reinstalled MSFS and the 777. It is the only add-on that gives me problems. DCS runs like a charm. The 737 runs great on MSFS. All my drivers are uptodate. No overclocks. You should open a ticket with PMDG. They want to keep track of all the people who have issues. This one is a tough one for them to crack. I still have faith though...
