All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

Great pictures mate, I have many fond memories of watching these aircraft taking off and landing at RAAF base Butterworth in Malaysia and from a few air shows during my time in the RAAF.

A really beautiful aircraft.

Here is a few undocumented facts about this aircraft.

1. If you took off and flew with full afterburner in any one direction away from an airfield for 7 minutes, it would not have enough fuel left to get back to the airfield of origin,

2. If a pilot had a flameout and unable to restart at 15000 feet directly above an airfield, he would have to eject because he would not be able to land at the airfield below him,  The mirage had the gliding characteristics of a  flying brick and would loose too much height with every turn to get him back to the airfield,

I cannot substantiate these facts but they were given to me by a RAAF mirage driver.

Regards and thanks again for the pics.
