Tobii Off at Start of Flight

Featured Replies

Hello

Would anyone know if there is a way to start a flight in MSFS with Tobii eye tracking turned off by default? Currently on arrival at the 'Ready to Fly' screen the view is jumping around all over the place.

I don't tend to use it until I have the aeroplane moving, but still would like to be able to enable it when needed during taxi or in the air while hand-flying.

Thanks

Luke Spencer

Toggle F9.

Thanks, however F9 does nothing, either in-sim or during the 'ready to fly' screen.

Is this a default binding?

Under Controls, I've got F9 bound (under Keyboard) to "Toggle Head Tracking" (ON \ OFF)

Oh I see, I have that on F12, however this toggle doesn't work during the 'ready to fly' screen, only once actually in the sim.

I was rather hoping that there might be a way of having eye tracking off by default upon starting, rather than the current situation where during the 'ready to fly' screen it's always on and I get this strange uncontrollable experience where my head bounces all over the cockpit until I actually enter the sim and turn if off.

I use FaceTrackNoIR as my software interface instead of the Tobii software and MSFS integration. I think it provides a better experience, more options to tweak and would allow you to have it disabled at the start of your flight.

I wish my Tobii Eyetracker plus FaceTrackNoir worked, but constant jumping about, not to mention head movement when looking backwards is in the wrong direction.  Purchased a new TrackIR and so good to be back to completely smooth movement and head moving in the right direction when looking backwards.
