August 8, 20241 yr So when I purchased the PMDG 777 a few weeks ago, I updated the Navdata via the universal flight tablet, and it all worked well. Today, the new cycle of Navigraph has been released, and I have updated my Navigraph hub and Navigraph Data manager successfully. Having done that, I then spawned my PMDG 777 at a gate. Went to the Universal flight tablet and selected 'update navdata' - the process of downloading starts, and it gets to about 75% and freezes. Tried several times, rebooted, tried different airports - still the same problem. Can anyone help me through this? George Westwell

I updated via the Navigraph hub first - not sure if I should have done - but the upgrade functionality did not work via the UFT after I had done that. When I looked at the UFT, the top right hand corner suggested it was looking and checking for the latest version of Navdate, but it stayed liked that, and never recognised the update via the Navigraph Hub - hence the reason I tried to update the Navdate via the UFT. August 8, 20241 yr Just use the Navigraph Hub. I posted over at the PMDG forum. Updating NAVDATA - AIRAC cycle 2408 - PMDG Simulations From PMDG: "Either UFT or Navigraph Hub and not both. Those paths for navdata are correct. The Navigraph Hub updates the community navdata folder, the aircraft code transfers the data file to an internal location. This is by design. The tablet freeze during an update download hasn't been reported by others, yet." Dan Downs KCRP Edited August 8, 20241 yr by Indy511

Just for clarity I have updated via the Navigraph hub, and the FMC confirms that I have the updated and current airac cycle. When I then go to my UFT, and select the screen to update the Navdata, the messages in the top right hand corner reads as follows: Currently installed AIRAC cycle Refreshing... Validity Period Checking... Latest Available AIRAC cycle Fetching Latest... and it remains like that even after 10 minutes or so of waiting. Then, if I select 'Update NavData' on that same screen, it starts to download and then as previously mentioned it freezes at around 75% of total download. So, it looks like I have the correct AIRAC cycle as confirmed by the FMC - but for some reason the UFT is not updating. George Westwell

The UFT update is for when you spawn in and go "oh word not allowed, I forgot to update."
