Can not program a second flight plan inside FMS

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a problem programing  a second flight plan into the FMS.

1. I program de 1st flight of the day as usual, everything good.

2. After landing i try to program de 2nd flight ( the return flight ) (ROUTE: SPJR-MANPA-BOBUG-ATATU-ATATU3-SPJC), I can enter everything but in the HSI display not rute displayed, it is displayed just since ATATU TO SPJC), not route showing from SPJR to ATATU.  In the FMS is colored with PINK  the waypoint ATATU (MANPA AND BOBUG are green colored, as if my first waypoint was ATATU).

I am using last fms and aircraft versions for fsx.

Regards.

Erick.

Have you tried reloading the aircraft before programing the FMS for the return flight?

Good Morning Ark.

When i reload the airplane everything goes well, but, I lost my actual weights and configuration (fuel for the return flight, cockpit configuration, and everything ☹️).

Please your help.

Maybe try turning off just the aircraft avionics and the power to the FMS, and then turn it all back on again? I don't use the FMS, or P3D anymore, so don't have any other ideas.

Hopefully a Learjet FMS user will be able to help more.

Hi Ark

It could be the AIRAC CYCLE UPDATE?

Regards.

Erick.

Sorry, I have no idea. As I said above, I don't use the FMS or P3D. You could try some different airports to see if that makes a difference.

Is it really?.

I bought an airplane from your page, then bought the " GREAT FMS expansion" and your only response is: I don't use Fsx/P3D anymore. So, what can I do?, nothing is going to happen?. Can You refund my money?, because i don't need a failed airplane, i pay for an airplane that i can use, no for one wich is going to be stored. If You don't support this product anymore why are You selling it?. It is really frustrating.

Please note that I am not a Flysimware employee, I am just a volunteer here that was trying to help you if I could since no Lear FMS users responded to your posts. I understand that being able to setup a second flight plan in the FMS without reloading the plane is important to you, but I don't know if the FMS has a bug, or if you have some kind of bug with your sim setup.  It is unfortunate that no other current Lear FMS user has posted their experience with entering a second flight plan here. Although the FMS has been out for a number of years now, I don't recall seeing any other posts others than yours on this specific topic.

Hi Eric,

Where did you purchase the product? The coder also updated the product early this year. Make sure you have the latest version too from our store.  Keep in mind the database is still older and you would have to get this updated yourself if it's missing current info.

We did not write the code for the FMS. See manual page 26 to delete a flight plan. This will allow you to load new flight plans. Works for customers as no reports of bugs. Flying a route and landing at another airport would not change how you load a flight plan. Does this flight plan work on a first load? But not on a second load?

Which method are you using to enter a flight plan? From the sims flight plan creator or entering it manually into the FMS?

We do support this product so If there is any issues with his code the coder will fix it. But so far all is working as intended and there are no reports of bugs.

We did you flight to SPJR then deleted the flight plan then added the reverse flight to SPJC. See images as the return flight loads on the HSI correctly. Not sure how you having an issue.
Make sure you have the latest version.

it is not possible to solve that bug?

Based on the post immediately above by the Flysimware developer, and my test flight experience below, it does not seem likely that there is an FMS bug causing your problem. A couple of things you could try if you haven't already are:

- use the current AIRAC cycle
- make sure you delete the old flight plan using the FMS DELETE FLP function before entering the new flight plan
- try two different airports
- uninstall and reinstall the Lear and the FMS

I managed to get P3Dv5 running again, and with the help of the FMS manual I loaded the Lear FMS and flew from SPJC to SPJR. The flight plan was SPJC ATATU BOBUG MANPA SPJR.  Upon landing at SPJR, after stopping on the runway and turning around I cleared the flight plan from the FMS (selected MENU and then DELETE FPL on the FMS) and entered the flight plan below. The second picture below is just a larger version of the first so you can read the first waypoint on the HSI map. I have not posted the other two pages of the flight plan (I can if you want them), but I selected the ATATU3 STAR and the ILS to 16R (ROGOK IAF). I used the current AIRAC cycle. It all looks correct to me. I did not actually fly the return flight plan back to SPJC.

Hi Flysimware team.

Thank you for your reply, really apreciate it.

I have tried with:

-Other airports,

-Reinstalling FMS and Aircraft.

-Updating to the last Airac cycle.

Nothing seems to work 😞 , I don´t know if it is something from mi FSX.

Every flight plan seems to work with the first load but not for a second load. I enter the flight plan directly from the FMS i don´t use default FSX flight planner.

¿Could you send me by private message or to my personal E- mail a link with the version of the FMS expansion pack that you have installed in your simulator?. I will try to install it and fly again.

Waiting for your reply.

Regards.

Erick.
