I'm using AccelerationIt works for me. The click spots are right next to each other without any noticable seperation. Use the mouse wheel. However, the autopilot doesn't work consistantly for me. I am only using SP1.
January 15, 200818 yr yeah I think it's another SP2 bug.... *sigh*I do remember it working with RTM, can't remember SP1 though | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
January 15, 200818 yr >yeah I think it's another SP2 bug.... *sigh*>>I do remember it working with RTM, can't remember SP1 though>>No, there were issues with the sizeorientation of the clickspotsin RTM and SP1 as well.Early on I went in and edited all the clickspots for the radioand autopilot contraols to make them easier to use from the VCwhile looking about with TrackIR.I enlarged all of them and also changed orientation from the"inner ring, outter ring" setup to either side by side or topand bootom clickspots for a particular control. In some cases i moved the spots to the numerical display where it made sense to do so. Paul
January 16, 200818 yr Author Hi Paul, How did you go about editing the VC clickspots? I am interested in making some changes for the Lear 45, particularily the AP speed hold as it continually wants to switch to Mach (vice versa) when simply trying to change the speed value. I've extracted the the autopilot xml but need some guidance from that point. Thanks.Regards, Kendall#1: [email protected]/Coolermaster HyperTX2 Gigabyte P35-DS3L 4GB Crucial Ballistix Tracers PC6400 Seagate 250GB 7200.10 SATA2 Gigabyte X800XT -Cat 6.12's CH Yoke/Pedals/Saitek Throttle Dual Monitor: Dell 2405/1905 #2: Dell 8400 3.2 H.T. 3GB PC4200 Diamond Xtreme/Logitech X-530's Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. January 16, 200818 yr Author HI, I have his Lear mods posted in the library and is execellent, but unfortunately doesn't address clickspot issues. I"ll have to play around with the xml file and see what I can do. I saw a post somewhere about 3 months ago with some guidance, but now that I have some time, I can't locate it....... ThanksRegards, Kendall Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. Aorus 650 Elite V2.0/32GB GSkill Trident 6000-CL30/Nvidia 1080 Ti./Seasonic Focus 1200W PSU.
January 16, 200818 yr Author whoops, just talking about clickspots got me doubled up. Regards, Kendall 7800X3D/G.B. Aorus 650 Elite V2.0/32GB GSkill Trident 6000-CL30/Nvidia 1080 Ti./Seasonic Focus 1200W PSU.

I've extracted the the autopilot xml but need>some guidance from that point. Thanks.>>>Regards, KendallLooking at my Lear 45 it appears that I didn't make any changes inthe autopilot area but here's the applicable code snippet: 322.000,40.00010,32DownArrow-Code removed for clarity - 344.000,40.00010,32UpArrow-Code removed for clarity - The parameters you want to adjust are the Position and SIze variables. 322.000,40.00010,32Values are the X ( horizontal ) and Y ( vertical ) positions or sizes. What I do often is open the applicable background bitmap in paintShop Proand use the cursor position X,Y values in that application for estimating where to move things or how to adjust the size.In the above case the Increment and Decrement areas arIAS-MAch "button"area ( not a good idea for VC use, IMO ) 333.000,43.00011,26The Decrement area starts at X=322 and ends at X=332.IAS-Mach starts at X=333 and ends at 344Increment starts at X=344 and ends at 355.These are all "side by side" in an area Y=40 high.I would raise the Y start to 30 from 40 and the Y size from40 to 60, then position the Dec/Inc side by side with a width of X=15 each and Y=40. I would then place the IAS-Mach BELOW bothof these areas starting at Y=71 and size Y=19 with a width ofX=30.You would then wind up with:|DEC|INC||IAS-MAC|The new area is X=30 by Y=60 in size but you could increase thatif you so desire. Just be sure you don't impinge on adjacent controlmouse areas. That's where working with the background BMP image fora reference comes in handy.322.000,30.00015,40338.000,30.00015,40322.000,71.00030,19Also, place the de-cab'd folder ( Lear_45_XML ) in the panel folder. When making changes and testing with FSX running, just have a keyassigned to "Reload Aircraft" or whatever it;s called in the controlsmenu. Then you can test your changes as you make them. You can leave the original Lear_45_XML.cab file wherever it is onyour system as FSX will use the folder in the panel folder before looking for a "cab" file.As I mentioned in my initial post I often move the clickspots up to the numeric readout area, which is usally much larger thanthe "knobs" and place the INC-DEC areas there.Hope this helps you get started :) Paul
