October 16, 20241 yr Have searched high and low but found no solution to this. I create both Simbrief .pln and .gfp files with Simbrief and the Simbrief Downloader. I am easily able to import the .gfp files into the TDS GTN 750 of the BS Analog Baron. I am able to load the .pln file at the MSFS World Screen. But I am not successful getting the flight plan from the world screen into the BS Baron's GNS 430. I assume the GNS 430 is the now-MSFS-default WT GNS. Has anyone else found a solution? October 17, 20241 yr I am not sure why it doesn't load from the world screen. It could be a bug in the sim. In any case, there's a modded version of the 430/530 that lets you import PLN files. I assume it doesn't conflict even though you are using TDS, but it's called pms50-gns530 on github by pimarc. It covers the 430 as well. This doesn't apply to you, but I'll still mention it. You can also slightly modify the addon to include instrument html files for any aircraft that still point to WTx30 instead of ASx30. It was renamed to AS when the WTT instruments were officially added by the MSFS devs. This saves you having to update some aircraft that still points to that in their panel.cfg.

Not sure what the MSFS conventions are in that case.. possibly the flight plan does not get loaded into the secondary unit at startup.. You might try the GNS 530 variant as a test and see if the flight plan gets loaded.. I would expect it would. Update: Just tested it.. If you start the aircraft in the GNS 530 configuration, the flight plan gets loaded into both units.. You can then flip the little switch to select the GTN and the 430 still has the flight plan.. 🙂 Edited October 18, 20241 yr by Bert Pieke Bert

For some reason, perhaps due to TDS, my BSq Baron always starts in GTN 750 state, even after leaving it in GNS 530 state when exiting. What works is to start the flight, change to the 530 setting, leave back to the world screen, load the flight plan, start the flight again, then change to the GTN. The flight plan stays in the 430, but for the TDS GTN I must load the .gfp file (from Simbrief) again, then it is in both. Thanks again. Would not have figured this out without your help. October 18, 20241 yr Been awhile since I've flown GA aircraft with GNS units. Will keep this info in mind next time. Thanx. I miss Reality XP.

I only mentioned the naming part because some aircraft are outdated, but both the names point to the same avionics that have been integrated into the sim by Asobo. With the mod, you are getting about the same thing with little fixes, and the ability to load flight plans on the fly. The mod is open-source, and while it hasn't been updated since 2022, I didn't notice any shortcomings. I would compare it to how the Navigraph avionics plugins let you load flight plans from simbrief into the G1000 and above (for free).

This mod dates back to 2022, but WT has updated the GNS gauges in 2024. Would you not lose the latest WT enhancements if you overwrite their code with a 2022 mod? If there was a changelog or I noticed anything missing, I would probably work to add it myself. I've already made little fixes to other stuff like the G3X even though I don't like using that panel. Also, the G3X is an example of how Asobo neglected some stuff, and they should have contracted WTT, the company, to keep providing updates to all the avionics. I suppose all their efforts got redirected to MSFS 2024 though. Edited October 24, 20241 yr by lockemx
