Logitech Throttle Quadrant - Speedbrake

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Has anyone managed to assign one of the levers on the throttle quadrant to work the speedbrake? If so what settings do you use? It would be great if I could configure it so that when it's in the up position the speedbrake is stowed and when it's fully down the speedbrake is in flight detent. Is this possible? I'm using the PMDG 737.

TIA

Jon

I also have the Logitech/Saitek throttle quadrant.  In Controls Options I created a separate profile for my quadrant for the PMDG 737-800.

Both the throttle and propeller levers are specified as Throttle 1 Axis and Throttle 2 Axis, so that I can control each engine independently.  The Mixture lever is assigned under 'Flight Control Surfaces -> Secondary Control Surfaces' as Spoilers Axis.  The 'Reverse Axis' option is unchecked on the Spoiler Axis.

Full forward stows the speed brake.  Moving it down takes it out of the stowed position and farther down moves it.

You have to visually confirm the 50%, Flight Detent and Up positions since the  quadrant doesn't have indents.

I use the middle and right levers (prop and mixture) for engines #1 and #2 and the left lever (throttle) for the speedbrake axis. (As per the post above.) I also have a button set to toggle the arming of the speedbrake prior to landing.

I use the right lever for the speedbrake axis, and set it so the lever mimics the lever in the 737, forward, speed brake off, to the rear, speed brake on.

Thanks, how do you set the various parameters? Sensitivity, deadzone etc?
