November 15, 20241 yr In the market for a new yoke. Those of you that use either of these, how is the compatibility and software usage with these two in MSFS? Any +'s or -'s someone in the market should be aware of when it comes to these yokes in the sim? The Flitesim looks very intriguing since it's less than half of the cost of a Brunner -- but, I've read (in MSFS's infancy) that there have been compatibility issues with the Brunner specifically. With MSFS 2024's ability to save configurations for specific aircraft, will that come in handy? Or is everything controlled externally (with FSUIPC or the hardware's own software)? Thanks, appreciate the info. AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT
November 15, 20241 yr Had a Brunner for many years now, it has its own software that must be launched with msfs. Not sure about various configurations as I only use the default settings for all aircraft, but forces are different because of the settings of those particular aircraft. I never had any issues using it with mfs2020 and I see no reason why Brunner won't release a 2024 compatible software. My 2 cents... i7-9700K, MSI Z370, PNY 4070 Super, GTX 750Ti, 32GB GSkill, 43" curved Samsung, 32" BenQ, 11" LED, RealSImGear GTN750, Win10, P3DV5.4/P3DV6 and MSFS, several GoFlight modules, Saitek radio, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Virtual Fly TQ6.
November 15, 20241 yr Brunner is on my list for next year, good to hear that you’ve had one for a few years without any hassles! It does look like a fantastic product! Anthony Milner
November 16, 20241 yr I have both the joystick & the pedals - works fine for me in 2020 - albiet I use mainly the default config on the software. I find the software a bit hit & miss (my problem) - but with 2024 I'll get back into it & fine tune it the biggest problem I had when I added the rudder pedals (had the stick first) was that I hooked the two up using the diagrams in the booklet - that meant that I had to run the USB to the pedals first & then connect via a RJ 45 cable to the joystick - that worked fine - except that I lost most of the buttons on the F 18 stick - so esentially I had a stick with 10,000 buttons - but only the trim functions worked ( trim functions use VJoy in conjunction with the Brunner software) Obviously I was not impressed with this - so I experimented & worked out that if I ran the USB cable from the comp to the stick first & then the RJ 45 to the pedals all the buttons mapped on the stick worked as advertised As for general flying the pair are fantasic - my aeros are now much more precice - especially with rudder inputs - my landings in the landing challenges went up round 200k better - but I still can't get a decent smooth landing - accuracy fine - the reason for that is that I seem not to be able to accurately judge the altitude whereas in R/L i have no probs in getting consistantly smooth landings (but I suppose after 50 odd years flying airplanes they had better be good) Rattso Cooler Master Cosmos 700M - MSI Godlike X (Devillike!!) - AMDD Ryzen 9 9950X3D (water cooled) - 128gb Corsair Vengeance 5200 D5 - ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Liquid OC GDDR7 32GB - EVGA 2000W P/S - Creative AE-7 - intel Optane 500gb - 3x 2tb M2 SSDs - 2x 2tb Samsung EVO SSDs - 1x Hybrid 2tb HDD - Brunner CLS-63E Joystick - Honeycombe Bravo quadrant - Brunner CLS-B rudder pedals - Samsung Odessey Ark 55" - G9 49" monitor
