two weeks and I'm back home to try mfs2024, so I look back to 2020 for a moment. My main fun in flightsim is painting aircraft, and I think I did about 1100 textures for 2020. Here are the 10 aircraft that I had most fun painting, in a random sequence. Should you have any favorites among the 1100, don't hesitate to post a shot, I'd appreciate it.

Dino's MB-339, getting this kiwi camo paint done took me forever:

the Milviz/Blackbird FG-1D Corsair, I spent so much time studying pics of the real thing to get all the stencils right that I suddenly noticed Milviz mixed up the left and right on the nose textures...decided to leave it as it was, it would have meant redoing so many of my textures, and nobody else seemed to have noticed it..

PMDG DC-6, what's not to like? A PROPer airliner. This is my favorite paintscheme, a simple freighter, ready to fly anywhere

the BigRadials Nieuport 17, perfect for low and slow, no brakes on landing, engine rotating, banner flapping in the wind, just great fun to fly, and fun paintschemes too!

NP-VE (0008)

ok, cheating here: there's two: Ant's Tiger moth and the GAS Stearman, more low and slow fun. And then they asked me to do the textures for the soon-to-be-released Super Stearman as well!

G-AFEA (0006)

a bit faster then: the Flying Iron Spitfire Mk.IX, the best looking Spitfire if you ask me. Most RAF aircraft have the same 'boring' camouflage paintscheme , but wait, look closely below...

the Carenado Beech 18, with the Denarq enhancement, just so much fun, and a real workhorse in this paintscheme

The Junkers Ju-52, I still have lots of fun flying this paint around Papua New Guinea, trying to land in fields that are just large enough, and sometimes not...oups

the Reno North American T-6 Harvard (I'm a European). My first flight in real life ever was in one of these (PH-BKT), and I love this model as well.

Flying Iron's P-38 Lightning, such a glorious machine, fun to paint as well, and it still looks futuristic somehow...

and a special mention for the Grumman Duck by Paul Domingue, which we managed to bring to MSFS with the help of Flyndive.

I don't know, an aircraft so ugly that is becomes beautiful, I love the Duck!

All my FSX/P3D repaints are here on Avsim, for my MSFS repaints, go to FS.2

formidable favorites screenshots and comments Jan !!

Need to watch a little more the nose of the Corsair nextly to understand the mistake 😉 And i totally agree to your Duck comment ! thanks

Great collection of shots. Better still with your comments and insights. Where would we be without your many splendid painting contributions?

Best and finest of your creations, Jan.

1100 for 2020...🙂...Of course, countless one from the earlier SIMs...

Excellent shots and planes! 🙂 The DC-6 looks great in that freighter paint.
