Is anyone else having issues with missing tower frequencies for airports that should have a tower? My home airport (KALN) has a tower but the frequency doesn't appear in the ATC Frequencies list or when I attempt to contact KALN tower. The tower frequency is listed as CTAF (Common Traffic Advisory Frequency) which is basically a UNICOM channel, not ATC in the tower.

I have found other airports near me that should have a manned tower but missing ATC functions. Larger airports, like St. Louis International has tower, ground, etc. frequencies. 

Just trying to figure out if I have a messed up setting somewhere.

I have found many examples of this, and was wondering the same thing.  Also, I am finding many Nav-aids are missing as well.  I like to Cross Countries, and file and fly IFR with an instrument approach at the end.  Kind of hard to do without the appropriate ground facilities available.  Any ideas?

Only overnight. It is a towered airport from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. also per the FAA on the same 126.0. @ryanbatc's KDTS is similar, that is a towered airport for most of the day from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The simulator is treating places like these as untowered 24/7.

Thanks for the replies! it's good to know it's not just me and my setup. I do know that ALN is not CTAF during day operations since I fly there IRL. It definitely has controllers during the day.

I'll put in a Zendesk ticket and hope this is an oversight that Asobo is planning to fix in an upcoming Sim Update or hotfix. 

Most of the time when the tower is closed, the tower freq becomes the CTAF. There may also be a UNICOM or MULTICOM as well.  The final word can be found in the current APFD.

I checked KALN MSFS2020.

Tower freq 126 Ok.
