Featured Replies

trying to getting used with thi spiece of s... software, can anyone help me if it is possible to import all my 2020 keyboard, mouse and joystick seeting 1:1 onto 2024 ?

Tried to get arround with the setup inside of 2024 but honestly, there is no word for me to describe the pain i feel when trying to.

i really wonder what they are thinking with this layout and messed up GUI

Thanks for your help, Carsten

As far as I know, no there isn't an easy way.

One thing I wish I did though was to completely erase all default controllers and start from complete scratch, as I'm still finding controller binding clashes with certain things days after initial setup.

I've also got a problem with two identically named USB devices that seem to be causing issues in the game, never a problem with MSFS2020 of course so it's a right PITA now as I have to keep entering the controller page to select the right profile for one of them on every single start up.

You can search for the term to bind. It’s generally the same term in 2020 and 2024.

And to prevent a conflict, you can search for a control that you have just bound. Make sure nothing else is using the control that you bound.

I got my views and  controls from 2020 setup in about 30 to 45 minutes in MSFS 2024 for a Thrustmaster 16000m and my keyboard.

You can use the provided 2020 key presets in 2024 but you will find you will then need to bind lots of controls to make 2024 work like moving the character about and entering an aircraft, etc.

I initially used 2020 settings and then reset back to 2024 defaults.

Once you learn the logic of how the UI works, you'll realise its actually quite powerful and easy to use. There are guidance videos on YouTube which are a great help.
