November 26, 20241 yr So I decided I wanted to see what career mode was all about. I opened it up and it told me to pick what airport I wanted to start at. I selected KLAS and then nothing happened. I didn't see a 'next' button or anything like that. What do you do after you select your airport in Career Mode? Thanks ...... November 26, 20241 yr It shouldn't have allowed KLAS as far as I know? Usually it only allows for non-international airports. So I think maybe you didn't actually select an airport, thus the lack of any further options.

November 26, 20241 yr Author I found a small strip airport very near to me that worked. Thanks for the tip on what was going on 🙂 Case: (Lian Li PC-011 Dynamic XL), PSU: (MEG Ai300p pcie 5 & ATX 3.0), Motherboard: (ASUS TUF Gaming x670E-PLUS WIFI 6E), CPU: (AMD Ryzen 7 7800-X3D) Memory: (G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB Series 64GB DDR5 6000), GPU: (Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 4090 AMP Extreme Airo). Yeah I checked it out briefly Sunday night when I finally picked the sim up and it wouldn't even allow smaller local airports near me, i.e. ones that mostly GA and some biz jets maybe fly from. Only the really small strips so I think I'm just going to pick a few areas of the world that maybe look interesting and find a strip there to start instead of some farm field just because it's near me. November 26, 20241 yr The home airport you pick actually has little relevance once you start training and then picking up jobs. You'll find you can still pick up jobs/missions anywhere on the globe and it'll just teleport you there. I'm not really sure what the relevance of picking a home airport is after playing around with it for a bit. My guess is immersion so you can pick a "home base" like in real life you might move to live next to where you're working, then you just happen to get jobs that take you to other airports. My understanding is you can move the home airport so eventually you could pick larger airports as you get ratings/etc to fly things that would use them? It also took me a while to realise that you have to fly the Gold missions, which might not be anywhere near your home base, in order to unlock more of that type of mission. I ended up doing far too many of those First Flights where you just takeoff with a couple of passengers to fly them over a town and back, before I eventually figured out how to unlock ferry flights, which are actually far more interesting as they're A-B flights and longer in length.
