November 27, 20241 yr With the goal of using VR with 2024, is there an advantage to buying from Steam? Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
November 27, 20241 yr Yes: Steam offers you a refund possibility. I bought it directly from MS and had a nightmare experience with the purchasing process. Customer support was non-existing, and as a consequence I am unable to install my MSFS 2020 purchases from market place in MSFS 2024. I will get MSFS 2028 definitely from Steam.
November 27, 20241 yr From a pure VR perspective, there's no difference at all between the MS Store or the Steam version of MSFS (2020 or 2024).
December 10, 20241 yr If you plan to play Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in VR, the choice between the Microsoft Store and Steam depends on your preferences and hardware. 1. Steam may be more convenient if you already have games in this ecosystem, and because of the ease of VR customization (especially if you use SteamVR). Steam also makes it easy to return a game if it doesn't work for you. 2. Microsoft Store integrates better with the Windows ecosystem (like Xbox Game Pass), but its VR customizations can be less flexible. I suggest paying attention to your VR hardware requirements and customization options in both versions. And if you're interested in advanced tools for optimizing your game or exploring AI technologies that can be used in simulations, check out OverChat.ai, a great resource for AI models and tools that can be useful even for VR enthusiasts!
