This is a nice find! I hope more people who have problems loading MSFS 2024 see this solution.

To be honest, this time sync tip post deserves a pin in the Tips and Tricks section given how effective it is.

The non-intuitive bit with the Windows settings is that if you have "Set time automatically" enabled but you leave "Set timezone automatically" disabled, Windows will not automatically resync the PC's time periodically. You have to have both "Set time" and "Set timezone" enabled in order for the sync process to run without user intervention. At least that's been my experience.

I had both set, and the last time there had been a sync was October 20 🙂 So just setting the automatic thing doesn't seem to actually cause a sync every boot. In the Linux world you have a demon that does it in the background, it runs all the time, so sync will be very close. That tech is open source, there's no excuse for Windows not to have that same level of accuracy.

there is nothing to be fixed, it is part of Microsoft's copy protection, otherwise your credentials will not be accepted by the gaming services/DLLs.

I'm uncertain if my following conclusions are correct: The more you purchase from their marketplace, the more packages have to be activated (copy protected). Conversely, the less you buy there, the fewer problems you will encounter.🤔

Sometimes I have to admit to myself:
