December 1, 20241 yr A GPS nav accuracy warning is a real-world event, precipitated by either GPS satellite outages, or more often by the temporary condition of an unfavorable geometry of the visible satellite positions, resulting in an out-of-limits circular error probable (CEP). It will resolve itself over time as the satellites move and the geometry changes to something more evenly distributed across the visible hemisphere. As in the real world, there's nothing you can do except wait or use a different navigation source. December 1, 20241 yr This happened for real last week here in New York State. The U.S. Army was conducting GPS jamming exercises at Fort Drum (in the northern part of the state) and a FDC Notam was issued to advise that GPS might be unavailable in this area. Indeed it was not. We had a flight from KELM to KOGS (Ogdensburg) and the aircraft had a “degraded GPS” warning when flying north of Syracuse, then GPS dropped out completely. ATC would only permit VFR visual approaches at KOGS because all available instrument approaches require GPS. Means it's go time for me !! Press clear and it's gone... G Edited December 1, 20241 yr by Gazzareth Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
