December 26, 20241 yr Author I do understand Early Access thing as a former programmer and that there are some bugs early, we had Alpha, Beta and Release versions when I worked. So I am sure P2A will be great when everything is fixed. There are no stutter, lag or freezing without P2A link. All other plugins I have just works ok, TG does not use much power from XP even when running 5-600 aircrafts. LittleNavMaps plugin does not use much with TG, does not notice at all it is running. Lots of AI in LittleNavMap but zero lag/stutter in XP. So something is wrong with P2A link. Why is it that only P2A link uses many times 100% from XP, never seen that with another plugin. Did not see P2A do it in XP11 so something have changed in XP12 API. Why can Littlenavmap but not P2A!!?? And if XP have problems I would have noticed that long time ago, but NO. Only is with some Betas FPS have gone down but never ever freezing or stutter/lag. Most of the time RAM use is going up and down never memory leaks so it grows and use all RAM. XP uses most of time between 5-8 gig RAM and max 30% cpu, now Laminar have moved lots of graphic work to GPU so today less work for CPU. Otherwise I do like P2A V3 very much, very nice GUI better then V2. So keep up the work and make it the best ATC addon 😎👍 Per W Sweden Programmer since 30+ years (now retired) and a avid flightsimmer since SubLogic on Vic64. December 26, 20241 yr Commercial Member Looking at the log file it appears that for most of the flight, P2A is not able to connect to XPLink. Then toward the end, at 13:43:53, it is able to connect. That would explain the slowdown. Unfortunately, there's no indication of what changed to allow it to connect. Dave

Dave Ok I will try to scan the log when flying to figure out. I also did see those lines about Refuse to connect, strange I do not have lots of things on local. Maybe I should change XP port number if possible? As a test Per W Sweden Programmer since 30+ years (now retired) and a avid flightsimmer since SubLogic on Vic64. Just did a flight with Toliss A321Neo and No stutter or freezing, did have the pie chart in XP plugins menu up several times and did see P2A link just doing very short small activities. So test the slow version. So far so good. Per W Sweden Programmer since 30+ years (now retired) and a avid flightsimmer since SubLogic on Vic64. Now I enjoy XP 12.1.3r2 and Scenery fixing. Anyway the P2A plugin makes XP freeze for a couple of seconds after TO quite often, I have set TG to minimal number of aircrafts. Seems like P2A takes over all power in XP. What is the difference between normal and Slow version of plugin? This is irritating because I will Not disable TG so only thing is to disable P2A plugin. Not so fun but what to do. I have seen exactly the same thing. On the ground just fine, 5 mins in the air stutters and the pie chart shows fully green circle just after a stutter and the P2A link. January 2, 20251 yr During my latest flight nearing busy airspace I had the same issue in the plugin performance window. There was no issue when I left a much quieter airport, EGPD, but when I neared the much busier EGCC same thing. This time I disabled the P2AXPlink in the plugin admin, and it immediately fixed the issue. This is the ‘slow’ version as suggested above. At the end of the flight while taxing, the sim crashed. On checking the log file it said the link was the cause . This was new, hadn’t experienced this previously. I have the log if that’s any use.
January 2, 20251 yr Commercial Member If you could email the XP Log.txt file and the P2A Log file for this flight to me at [email protected], I'll have a look. Might be a clue in there. Thanks, Dave

I did update the version I had from the one mentioned in the manual just recently. I have just swapped back to the older version to see if that makes any difference. Will try repeating a flight and let you know if there is any difference. Many thanks. Edited January 3, 20251 yr by Scottish Wings
January 3, 20251 yr Commercial Member Yes, it definitely could be XPUIPC. The newer version have issues or don't work at all, depending on where you got it from. Version 2.0.3.8 definitely does work. Dave
January 3, 20251 yr Author FYI I have XPUIPC 2.0.3.8 and Slow P2A Link, for me the 100% used by P2A is gone now. Only some very short small burst quite often but very very small, I only see P2A as a blink on left side in XP plugins Performance pie chart. January 19, 20251 yr Hi Dave, Been on a couple of flights recently and had no issues with the link, however I am currently flying from EGCC to EGLL (much busier area) and I had the same issue with pauses, and the link was hogging all the resources on the Plugin Performance pie chart again. Switch it off an OK. Just wanted to let you know. All the best, Stuart
January 19, 20251 yr Commercial Member Thanks for the report. You might see if turning down the traffic volume in the Traffic Engine will relieve the issue in busy areas like that. Dave
