Will Multiple Monitors Degrade my Performance?

Featured Replies

I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER video card.  I just bought a new monitor and have connected it via a DP connection. I am considering connection my old monitor via a HDMI connection. I would just use the second monitor to either show Navigraph charts or some other multitasking task. My question is will the second monitor "degrade" my performance measurably or open me up to other unforeseen issues? Thanks.

No it will not.  I run 3 monitors.  The only time you could see degradation is if you attempt to pop out an MSFS window onto the other screen.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

Normally, it will not.  Just be aware of how much RAM you are using.

It will heat your card more though. Only a consideration if you are in a small room but worth mentioning just in case.
