G1000 flight plan loading

Featured Replies

The 2020 aircraft that you may have running in 2024 likely still use the earlier version of the WT G1000.  Loading a complex flight plan in the EFB may not work correctly.  If that happens to you, try editing the panel.cfg file for the airplane (or mod) and change the G1000 to the V2 version.

Example:

;htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTG1000/PFD/WTG1000_PFD.html, 0, 0, 1024, 768
htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTG1000v2/PFD/WTG1000_PFD.html, 0, 0, 1024, 768

same for the MFD.

I tried this for the Husk G1000 mod for the King Air, and for the default 2020 G36 Bonanza, and it worked.

Others have reported the COWS DA42 (DA42TDI and DA42VI panels) and the Kodiak working also.

Thanks for the tip.  Will this work for streamed airplanes?  If so, how?

Hopefully the streamed planes have already been upgraded by Asobo or the developer..

Well, the twotter and the c408 are using <2.0 WT avionics, and I'm sure there are others.

Hmmm.. my patience is wearing thin.. especially with the much touted developer partners, like Carenado.  What is their excuse?

Isn't the C408 the one where you can change nav frequencies but you can't actually make them active?

The button doesn't work.....sigh.

Edit; I remember now, I've put a bug report in on this one. Amusingly, you can't select a frequency with an odd number either.

I'm hoping this sort of stuff is part of the next tranche of bug fixes. 2024 shipped with some really interesting, beautifully made stock planes and they all seem to have something daft like this going on....
