Is the C17 the only aircraft certified for reverse in flight?

I recall that the C17 had issues with cracks due to the practice.

Incidentally, from time to time, C17 land here at Guernsey airport. They land, reverse all the way back down the runway and then take off again.

They must have got the wrong airport , probably wanted Jersey.

I think the Trident used to use reverse in flight ?

They’re a nice looking machine, they occasionally go low over my place doing a “dambusters run” over the dams in the Peak District, much more common though is that Airbus A400.

You can with the C130 as well, historically you could with the DC-8 and the Concord could do this with 2 of it's engines for rapid descent. Modern aircraft are mechanically locked out to prevent this from happening now, only millitary operations now.

I have also heard that SAS used to prematurely thrust reverse just before touchdown on the Maddog's in winter icey conditions and short remote runways, but not anymore either
