Are you sure? I seem to remember having read somewhere that, when possible, progress in MSFS 2024 would be backported to 2020. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Lets hope but I have my doubts.

The background update that I would like to see is improved Bing aerial imagery that gets rid of those lime green textures (and horrible joint line) east of EHLE Lelystad in the Netherlands, and a fix

So ironically when I ran the Nvidia app it had "optimization recommendations" and two of them were to reduce my LOD details!  I forgot when I started using the DLSS Swapper with Lossless scaling I also cranked my TLOD/OLOD to 375/175 so it could very well be the graphics drivers with DLSS swapper and lossless scaling combined with the increased LOD settings producing the results in those pics.  (Most likely)

In any case I am extremely happy with the results.

It is in the works I suppose, like everyone else I don't know when it will be out. I doubt it is neglected though, just delayed.

Same thing really, more neglected when it was supposed to be released last summer....!

They aren't. Because the only content that they're updating server-side is in MSFS 24.

That's not true, i distinctly remember them saying that they could do some server side changes in MSFS2020, and it was around the time, that it had many issues. I also noticed on a few occasions the weather and cloud improving between updates.
