Ok, now with SU1 I took the plunge and removed MSFS2020 from my disk. But of course, I was to fast and removed everything. Now e.g. ORBX does not allow me to install MSFS2020 sceneries into MSFS2024, the Tool simply does not show MSFS2020 anymore. So how the heck I now get for example FT YSSY into MSFS2024? I knew it will end in a mess... oh boy. FlyTampa is particularly bad in giving information about their MSFS2024 compatibility...

Yeah just learnt about that while switching between MSFS and MSFS 2024 in the drop down menu of Orbx.

I'm using Addons Linker and I'm not ready to give up on MSFS yet, so it's not too annoying for me. But I definitely don't like their approach, they shouldn't prevent customers to use products they paid for, as they wish. A "not MSFS 2024 compatible" scenery is still better than any default MSFS airport, I used EHAM from Flytampa in 2024 and the airport is running fine, there may be some imperfections but it still better than anything else (default or Asobo handcrafted).

No such issue with Contrail or the Inimanager.

So yeah in the meantime keep MSFS installed (don't install anything from the content manager if you don't use MSFS anymore) to be able to update your "non 2024" sceneries, and keep them installed in the folder you use for Addons linker.

I don't put anything in 2024 unless it's officially supported. For example, I set the ORBX app to FS2024 and click 'My Products', then I install any products that are now compatible. Cutting and

You shouldn't do that with Add-on Linker. You put your add-ons in a separate folder that is not in the MSFS 2020, or the MSFS 2024 folder branch.  So make a neutral folder to put your add-ons in.  The

There is this quite simple workaround for the Orbx Central "issue".

I know, but you have to be extra careful. Because other tools like Aerosoft One then also think that MSFS2020 is still installed and this can mess things up...
