How to set local time for the sim?

If your system time is set correctly, then there's a setting inside sim setting that says" Set sim time to system time.

It should set up your time zone automatically, if your system time is set automatically to sync date and time. At least that's how it works for me. I never had to adjust time zones in 2024. Also there's a app on Flightto, I believe it's called time zone correction for 2020. I use it for both sims.

Looks like my time is set 4 hours earlier than it should be.

I can't find anywhere in the sim where a user can adjust the time/date, except in Free Flight where one can adjust the weather/time.

For what it's worth, the time on my PC is set correctly.

Also of note, the Zone Correction app doesn't make any difference in MS 2024.

Most odd. Can't help you there but that is seriously strange behaviour.

When you set the sim to real time it defaults to current real time, no time difference.

I thought you were asking about free flight date and time. I keep that on live mode.  Were you asking about another part?

So in Free Flight, when I fly at a local airport in my area and I'm using Live weather, the time in the sim is four hours pervious to real time. I have to manually change it every time to current time.

There must be some setting that allows one to sync sim time with your local time.

It is your Windows time setting that needs to be changed. You can set the actual time of day to local time with no problem. It is your time zone that is not set correctly. A new Windows installation is set by default to the Pacific time zone, and that will not change unless you go into the system settings to change it to your actual time zone. Both MSFS 2020 and 2024 use the Windows system time zone and UTC time (from the MSFS server) to determine what your local time is.

If you change the time zone setting in Windows, you will have to reset the correct local time as well.

You were exactly right. (My time zone was set to East coast).  Thanks for getting me taken care of!
