FBW A320 vs iniBuilds A320/A321 for MSFS 2024?

Featured Replies

My understanding is that the developmental version (or is it experimental version?) of the FBW A320 works in MSFS 2024.

So for the people that have used the FBW A320 in MSFS 2024, how does it compare to the either the iniBuilds A320, or iniBuilds A321, in MSFS 2024?

Glad you posted this I read somewhere else it wasn't.  And it's not even listed here:

I'm starting to get stoked w/ 2024 and only use WT 787X and Longitude and would love to get the A320nx going and 737 and it looks like PMDG is dragging feet on their 737s.  I don't think 737 MAX from I-Fly is ready yet either.

Aircraft used in MSFS 2024:  Fenix A320,  Aerosoft CRJ, FBW, WT 787X, I-Fly 737 MAX 8, Citation Longitude.

Why would it be different from 2020? The FBW is vastly more accurate and in depth in certain system parts, but also vastly less complete (split MCDUs for a starter) and visually appealing.

Development of the FBW A320 has also pretty much stagnated over the last year with very little significant changes. This is likely due to most of the team working on the A380 (understandably so)

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

There is an update to the Dev version nearly daily and I've started to think this is a ruse!

I've heard the FBW Dev build works in 2024.

Since all the aircraft you asked about are free to fly, why not just test them all yourself and see which one you prefer?

Sure.  I've been spending way too much time adapting to 2024 so was wanting to avoid hassling with something that maybe doesn't work.  So I guess I copy the plane and simconnect or whatever it's called into the 24 comm folder?  The installer should not work I assume.

According to real Airbus pilots, the iniBuilds A320/321/330 are pretty good. Personally, I don't miss anything since switching to the iniA320 in MSFS24 - the EFB on the FBW is better though. The working printer is also cool, tbf.

I copied FBW320nx and simbridge into 2024 along with a livery for UAL.  The livery didn't work but the plane loaded.  I won't bother with it until it can load liveries as well.
