May 27, 200818 yr I'm pretty sure Mesaba didn't get hold of James Bond's latest stealth technology.Why do they look like this? I downloaded the latest NWA Airlink pack from WOAI and this is what I get. The Pinnacle CRJ's work fine. I've also noticed this with other acft, usually cargo though. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 27, 200818 yr I will check it out and see if I have it. Can you tell me which airport that is? Regards, BoeingGuy ASUS P5E X38 | Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.2 GHz on 1600 MHz FSB (400x8) | 4 GB DDR2-800 RAM | EVGA GeForce 8800 GT Superclocked @ 679/979 | 320 GB Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 RPM HD
May 27, 200818 yr Looks like FS9 AI with FSX SP2 DX10, texture issue.Edit: Just noted your running XP Pro. I have seen texture issues in SP2 with FS9 aircraft also in DX9. Overland (Before the update) for instance. Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
May 27, 200818 yr Yeah well the odd part is - I don't remember any problems with my old system. The airport is KDLH, but I've seen it almost everywhere I go. Like I said, mostly the Cargo carriers, some UPS planes and FDX ones do it too. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 27, 200818 yr Author >Looks like FS9 AI with FSX SP2 DX10, texture issue.>@Tom/RyanIt does look like that. However over the weekend I downloaded the SAME Northwest Airlink package, and I am not seeing the texture problem at all. ??@RyanI disassembled the WoAI Northwest Airlink package, fixed it for TDBB, and recompiled. As a result I have a true native FSX traffic bgl of Northwest Airlink. It's a big file though, over a meg if I remember right. It seems to be working ok, no texture issues--I ran it at KMSP and observed for a little while. That's the only diff I see and I doubt that could account for the glitch you are seeing.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.16 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
May 28, 200818 yr What is TDBB? I simply d/led the pack, and installed it to FSX. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 28, 200818 yr Author >What is TDBB? I simply d/led the pack, and installed it to>FSX.>Sure, and that's the allure. It "seems" to work in FSX and that's all most people care about. You realize that it's an FS9 traffic bgl file in that package. ;) It may be FSX compatible but it's not a native FSX traffic bgl, so there will be negative consequences.I am saying that I decompiled it, made some changes, and recompiled it using TrafficDataBaseBuilder (TDBB), which is the FSX AI traffic compiler. I've done that with every package I have in my FSX.Check the wing_span vals on the Northwest Airlink package. If I remember correctly, some of them are wrong...set up for FS9, not FSX. That causes all sorts of parking and AFCAD issues in FSX. But then most people don't care, as long as their package "seems" to work.RhettFS box: E8500 (@ 3.16 ghz), AC Freezer 7 Pro, ASUS P5E3 Premium, BFG 8800GTX 756 (nVidia 169 WHQL), 4gb DDR3 1600 Patriot Cas7 7-7-7-20 (2T), PC Power 750, WD 150gb 10000rpm Raptor, Seagate 500gb, Silverstone TJ09 case, Vista Ultimate 64ASX Client: AMD 3700+ (@ 2.6 ghz), 7800GT Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
