March 27, 20251 yr I upgraded to 12. Unbelievably slow download. I had to mess with it for an hour to find the executable app. I have tried 2 planes ,the RV 10 and the Baron 58. They are NOTHing like the versions in X 11.The ones in 11 were MUCH better. I am getting all kinds of weird shaking in the controls and the visuals are terrible. I cant even see the panel clearly. The rudders are way different. Has anyone run into this with 12? The RV 12 in 11 that was free was way better, this one sucks. Total regret so far.. Edited March 27, 20251 yr by 4df5
March 27, 20251 yr strange, one doesn't update from x-plane 11 to x-plane 12, it is a fresh install on it's own. but I guess you found the culprit?
March 27, 20251 yr Author yes its a full install....do you know if you can get the Baron 58 and other freeware from X 11 and drop it in X 12..? how..? Its really weird to see Laminar play a game like this...instead of fixing the terrible and well known problems with some of the included planes..they try to sell you a 19$ repair package...I thought included planes were supposed to work right out of the box? The people working there know how to fix stuff like that..but they dont?? Edited March 27, 20251 yr by 4df5
March 28, 20251 yr Hello, It doesn't really make sense to copy aircraft from XP11 to XP12, as the flight dynamics engine has changed. As communicated in many forums and also by Laminar itself, the cockpit lighting will be revised and visibility improved in version 12.2. I think Laminar knows what it's doing. But it can't do anything about problems that occur in front of the screen. March 28, 20251 yr Author I went back to 11. Laminar was good about a refund. I will consider 13 if I have a super PC by then. btw does AvSim have a place for free stuff like add ons and free aircraft like .Org has....?I would hope there was more than 1 place to get lots of add ons....Org is a bit sleazy..
March 28, 20251 yr There's the AVSIM Library: https://library.avsim.net/ I believe there are Xp11 addons there. Search under the X-Plane section. Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
March 28, 20251 yr Vor 1 Stunde sagte 4df5: Org ist etwas schäbig. I just took a look at the avsim library. I was last there back in the FSX days. Once you're there, you'll see how well-structured the org download area is.
