April 5, 20251 yr It's a local flight I enjoy doing from a small regional airport 6 miles from home (KBJC) near Denver CO to the highest commercial airport in the US, Telluride, CO, KTEX, at 9070ft. In 2024 it *should* be fabulous to do in fall when the tree leaf colors are on fire! It's a really cool place to visit as well! April 5, 20251 yr Almost anywhere in the Seattle, WA / Vancouver, BC area. Mountains, volcanos, lush greenery, large bays/sounds/rivers, canyons, islands of all sizes, and runways seemingly everywhere (and they still frequently fly seaplanes up there!). Almost anywhere in the United Kingdom, Portugal, Italy, or a perennial flight sim favorite like anywhere to Innsbruck, Austria. New Zealand!!! So many other places around the world that are finally well represented in flight sim. Paro, Bhutan, Japan....IMHO, any place with a few mountains near the sea! One idea is to look at OrbxDirect in their X-Plane and Prepar3D sections. NOT to buy those products, per se, but just to get some good ideas for good regional areas to explore.
