Just change shadows from 2048 to 4096 in the usercfg.opt. just the one line....

I haven't tried 4096 so can't really comment. It is always better to keep the load on the GPU so I have used this setting for years now, I guess it depends on how much VRAM you have and what the GPU is. For reference I am running a 4090

It is really simple to change it, just make sure the sim is not running.
