I am running a similar set up 9800x3d and 9070xt  I tried to limit frames and then frame gen using the Radeon Experience app but it didn’t do anything  sticking with FSR3 and in a frame gen

Whats the radeon Experience app ?

Thats new to me ?

If you did not properly  set up a game profile for MSFS2024 within the Radeon Adrenaline app then your settings wont work.

To get the AMD Radeon Adrenaline driver based framegen to work you MUST set up your game profiles so that when you start the game the driver detects the game and applies the desired settings. Doing it globally (im assuming here) is a hard no.

I have been using Fluid motion frames since the beta came out in 2023 and have it perfectly implemented in both sims with the driver doing both the framegen and the frame lock. Since the latest beta (SU2) i turned off the driver based framegen and let the sim (msfs2024) do the framegen but still have the driver do the lock.

MSFS 2020 the driver is still doing both functions flawlessly.

Got to set up your game profiles.

Thanks. Have you tried Optiscaler to get FSR4? I have installed it but honestly have no idea if it does anything over the in game FSR3.
