April 19, 20251 yr As the title says, the sim freezes some 5 seconds after it loads. The music is still playing, mouse is active, but I have to shut it down either through Steam or Task Manager. I let it be for half an hour to no avail. Nothing has changed after my last successful flight, no Windows updates, nothing. Except Navigraph updates. I have a MAG B650 Tomahawk mobo, a MSI RTX 4090, drivers are 566.36, no Nvidia app, no GeForce Experience, 64Gb RAM. Later drivers gave me CTDs as well as did the new Nvidia app. I tried: - Deleted all Nvidia caches, also DirectX cache - Community folder is empty - in C:\Users\-user-\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 I deleted Content.xml, exe.xml, UserCfg.opt, FlightSimulator2024.CFG - in C:\Users\-user-\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 I deleted Cache, SceneryIndexes, SimObjects\Airplanes, WASM\MSFS2024 folders - deleted ROLLINGCACHE.CCC I tried disabling DLSS in Nvidia inspector, tried to swap with earlier DLSS libs (3.7.0 and 3.7.1) I also tried the latest beta (this morning) and then opted out again. Any ideas, has something like this happened to anybody? I seriously doubt reinstalling would solve anything, but I'll try that as well, since I am out of ideas. Thanks! EDIT: Forgot to mention: no error log is generated! Edited April 19, 20251 yr by Jure
April 19, 20251 yr Best advice I can give you friend is to cut n’ paste your entire text above and place it squarely in a zendesk ticket if you’ve not done so already. Good luck, -B
April 19, 20251 yr Author Thanks, I was thinking about that, yes. But after my last experience with their zendesk when nothing was solved, I figured I'd try here first... 🙂 By the way, MSFS2020 is working 100%, so I guess that will have to be my sim of choice until I can figure out what is wrong.

Install Nvidia driver 576.02 (latest) and the latest SU2 beta (1.4.14.0),.ALL of my freezing/CTD's have been solved. Just did a two hour flight with no issues. I couldn't run SU2 with the Nvidia app installed, but that is now installed with no problems. Also DLSS 310.2.1 is working OK. 576.02 and SU2 beta 1.4.14.0 solved every problem I had! April 20, 20251 yr Author Problem solved! I got the solution on the official forums and I am posting it here in case somebody else has this same problem: "I had a very similar issue. Try to delete your cloud save files in Steam. First turn off the cloud save funcionality in Steam, the navigate to your Steam\userdata\usernumber)*2537590* folder: Here try delete first the remotecache.vdf file and try to load the game. If it still not working, go in the remote subfolder and delete the datausage, localprofile and profile_00 files. For me it solved it, but if you delete all 4 files, you’ll lose some settings. At least your inputprofiles will stay, just have to reselect them. Also make a copy of these files, and if the issue is solved, make sure to upload them on the Zendesk Support page wth the issue description to help the devs solve this." @MrBitstFlyer, I will try what you suggest, hopefully the bugs are ironed out by now. Thanks to both! 🙂
