April 21, 20251 yr I'm slightly surprised at just how much I'm enjoying this model - one of the best warbirds available for FS20, in my view. One thing is eluding me, however - when I operate the tailwheel lock, there is a mechanical clicking sound ( it seems to come from behind the pilot's seat ) but I can't find any physical indication such as a lever or handle. Has anyone found anything ? It'd be nice to have something you can visually check before landing. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
April 21, 20251 yr There's / there was no tailwheel lock lever in an He-111. The stick had to be pulled all the way back to lock the tailwheel. OKay, but there is a tailwheel lock in the model, and there's a mechanical clicking sound in the cockpit when I press the button on my throttle. That's what's got me wondering. April 23, 20251 yr I have tried using the 111 in FS 24 but for some strange reason the right engine will only operate at idle powere - made for some interesting attempts at taking off - I then tried to start it at altitude & had the same problem - the right engine just sits @ idle - all other twins not probs - any clues please - because once flying it's really nice(except for the amount of rudder trim needed to keep it straight) Rattso Cooler Master Cosmos 700M - MSI Godlike X (Devillike!!) - AMDD Ryzen 9 9950X3D (water cooled) - 128gb Corsair Vengeance 5200 D5 - ASUS ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Liquid OC GDDR7 32GB - EVGA 2000W P/S - Creative AE-7 - intel Optane 500gb - 3x 2tb M2 SSDs - 2x 2tb Samsung EVO SSDs - 1x Hybrid 2tb HDD - Brunner CLS-63E Joystick - Honeycombe Bravo quadrant - Brunner CLS-B rudder pedals - Samsung Odessey Ark 55" - G9 49" monitor
April 23, 20251 yr Author Have you got the latest version ? It was updated a few days ago, and is now at V1.1. You update it using their ACE app, in the Start menu. (Edit: I haven't tried the Heinkel in FS24 yet, but the update might help you. ) Edited April 23, 20251 yr by Paul K Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
