I just stumbled on this thread and I am very excited that I found it. Like the original poster, I also had active camera and was hoping to find something similar to it for FSX. But there is nothing worthy yet and the utilities most people suggest is Walk and Follow and Ezdok and they don't offer what I am looking for. I believe this is what I have been searching for and seeing your video, I know it can be done. I am anxious to try out the tutorial for making an approach camera. But I have a couple of questions and I am hoping the poster who made the tutorial is still around to answer my questions. My fist question is that once I change the camera configuration, do I need to set it up for whatever airport that I want to go spotting at or does it just "stay put" and becomes a view each time. Do I also have to use a special aircraft or something like a spotter car. I use world of ai and PAI planes so I am hoping that they work with the settings. You also mentioned just taking the "track" out and will that be all that's needed or do I have to change the whole configuration? If it doesn't work, will all my other change too or can it be easily fixed back to the original. I am afraid of making those changes to important settings. With active camera, I just placed the camera next to the runway and watched all the arrivals. When the arrival landed on the runway, the camera just locked onto the next plane and followed that one in. It also followed airplanes that were taking off as well, It wasn't required to select the aircraft, or move the camera with the arrow buttons, it just moved automatically. It was just a lazy way to watch take off and landings and letting the camera do all the work. Thanks for reading and I guess I had more than a couple of questions!
