The "new" oversized 3.5 window look in the desktop version of YouTube is causing this old fella a great deal of head-banging on desk, much gnashing of gums and tearing out of very little remaining hair.

Anyone else with the same allergic reaction?

 What You Can Do:

Browser Zoom: You can adjust your browser's zoom level to reduce the size of the player and the overall page.

Theater Mode: Use YouTube's built-in "Theater Mode" (if available) to toggle between a larger and smaller player size without going full screen.

Miniplayer: Switch to YouTube's miniplayer for a smaller, floating video player that allows you to browse other parts of the site simultaneously.

Extensions or Workarounds: Some users have found success using browser extensions or custom scripts to revert to the previous layout or player size.

Provide Feedback: Share your thoughts with YouTube directly through the "Send Feedback" feature.

Just going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱
Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!

Pay YouTube $30/mo fee so they stop changing the UI … capitalism at its finest.  Love it when I can’t even watch my own 4K and 8K videos I created on my channel at 4K or 8K because I don’t monetize and I don’t pay $30/mo to YouTube.  The “feed me” syndrome … I keep hoping all that revenue makes it to the people that actually do the work at YouTube, but it doesn’t …

I wondered why the format had changed recently. I can live with it, but I am not sure how showing fewer links on one page is an improvement.
