May 3, 20251 yr I can't find how to overlay airways in the latest version of LNM. There used to be icons on one of the top bars marked V (Victor - low altitude) and J (Jet - high altitude). I have searched the online manual without success. Can someone please advise how to overlay them. Thanks Regards John Gigabyte Z390 m/b, i7 9700K cpu, 16Gb Hyper X Fury 3200 ram, RTX2060 6Gb, Gigabyte 32" monitor, MSFS 2020 store edition

May 4, 20251 yr Author Thanks but I still do not see them. Maybe the user controls what icons are displayed on the top bar? Anyway I investigated some more and using the VIEW drop down menu, selected NAVAIDS and see L H and T and they are selectable using ctrl V ctrl J and ctrl T Hopefully the link below will work showing the top bar which I see https://i.postimg.cc/SN3MQ6B7/lnm.jpg Regards John Gigabyte Z390 m/b, i7 9700K cpu, 16Gb Hyper X Fury 3200 ram, RTX2060 6Gb, Gigabyte 32" monitor, MSFS 2020 store edition

Can someone please advise how to overlay them. Thanks Perhaps the toolbar is hidden or overlaid by another one. Go to menu "Window" and click "Reset Window layout to default". This also rearranges the toolbars and makes all visible. See here about toolbars: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/latest/en/INTRO.html#toolbars You can also access all functions in the main menu. Airways in the menu "View" -> "Navaids", for example. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
May 5, 20251 yr Author Thanks everyone In desperation I uninstalled LNM and deleted any associated files I could find and then downloaded the latest version (3.0.17) even though I had very recently updated the version, then installed. At first the LNM 'window' displayed too high on the screen and to the left and I could not select the top of the window to drag it into a correct position with my mouse which was very annoying. A 'google search' showed me to select the icon (LNM) in the task bar with right mouse button and select MOVE then use the keyboard arrow keys to reposition. I have NEVER had that problem with any other program/application and I wonder how many people would know how to manually reposition. Anyway now I have a top bar which displays the L H T buttons (and maybe some others I hadn't noticed as well). Now 2 hours later I am ready to create flight plans. Too late to check Alex's suggestions but thanks for them anyway. And yes I found that the airways were access them via View > Navaids as well as using ctrl V etc. Edited May 5, 20251 yr by Jarnie remove superfluous sentence Regards John Gigabyte Z390 m/b, i7 9700K cpu, 16Gb Hyper X Fury 3200 ram, RTX2060 6Gb, Gigabyte 32" monitor, MSFS 2020 store edition

Normally LNM tries to correct its window position so that is not hidden but sometimes this seems to fail. No idea what causes this. I'll have a look at this. Alex Alex' Projects: Little Navmap
May 5, 20251 yr Author Thanks Alex. I noticed that when I installed (a new completely fresh install) the latest version 3.0.17 it looks different from what the version I was running (eg FP drawn was a different color) and seemed to have some new features such as 'Found problems in Flight plan. Click here for details' yet I am sure I had recently updated it and/or selected 'check for updates'. Can't be exactly sure but it seemed that way. I changed the default look of the flight plan since some people like the transparent SkyVector like style more. You can change the style and disable the transparency in options on page "Map Flight Plan". Not sure about the problem message. I'd need the details shown when clicking on it. 3.0.17 is the latest. May 5, 20251 yr Author The message is not a problem as it alerted me to things such as the cruise altitude was too high for the length of flight (and aircraft performance maybe). May 5, 20251 yr Author Its an ok message as it reminds me of 'problems' with the FP. Maybe when it was added in a past update the default was to not display it as I cannot remember disabling it in the past or my aging brain/memory has not served me well. I am sure I have congratulated and thanked you in the past for LNM but I will do it again.
