Garmin G3000 Question

Featured Replies

I recently had to reinstall MSFS 2020.  My favorite airplane is the Cessna Citation Longitude.  I have noticed since I reinstalled the flight sim, that I no longer have the buttons on the bottom of the PFD, just a blank bar.  All of the relevant Longitude programs in the Content Manager is installed.  Am I missing something?  I also have  Garmin G3000 folders in the Community folders just can't figure out how to get the correct setup.  Can someone point me in the right direction to get this fixed?  Thanks

That was a quick one so I'll ask a G3000 question - is the nearest functionality broken?  Some days it works others not.

Does this plane not have a G5000 avionics suite?

Are you possibly thinking of another airplane?  Like the TBM 930..

I guess it does not Bert.  I just got MSFS 2020 reinstalled and noticed that the avionics are not the same as the previous Longitude that was installed earlier.  How do I find out?  Is there a way to fix it?

Not sure what you are looking for... On my system, the Longitude has G5000 avionics, both in 2020 and 2024.

Try starting up the TBM 930 and see if that looks more familiar..

Wow, something is really wrong.  Started up the TBM 930 and the wings were visible but no cockpit.  Like only half of the airplane was there.  The Longitude is good except the avionics are not correct.  Well back to the drawing board.

I would start with an empty Community folder first.  The only time I ever had any aircraft literally missing parts was with incompatible liveries or mods.

Regardless, there should be no mods in the Community folder for the TBM, CJ4 or Longitude, as all updates from WT are now part of FS2020 and the TBM mods were nullified by MS/ASOBO updates quite a while ago.

Going to try that.  Thanks

So I did what you said.  Good news is it restored the TBM 930 with full G5000 avionics.  Even the Honda Jet has the full avionics.  The bad news is the Longitude still does not have the G5000 avionics.  Going to start deleting some of my Longitude addons and see if I can find out if one of them is causing the problem.

Glad to hear it.  The TBM would be the g3000 (g5000 in the Longitude)

I would guess there is a Longitude livery or other add-on creating your issue.

I removed everything except the asobo longitude and still can't get it to work.  Will keep trying until I get it to work.

In that case I would remove the Longitude entirely and close FS2020.  Then, restart the sim and add the aircraft back in, basically reinstalling the aircraft.
