CPFlight MCP/EFIS 2024 Compatibility

Featured Replies

I have to say, I'm a little miffed with CPFlight. I have sent them two emails and also a Facebook query asking if the MCP/EFIS EL version is compatible with 2024. To date I have had no response. I mean, how difficult can it be to reply with a few words! I understand from others, that while it can work with SPAD, in doing so, there are a few functions that don't work, but more importantly, there is some lag. Just wondering if anyone can offer their thoughts. Cheers.

On their website it says :

Compatible with Flight Simulator 2020, Flight Simulator X, Flight Simulator Steam Edition, Prepar 3D ( V1, V2, V3, V4 and V5), Project Magenta, PROSIM737, SimAvionics, PMDG737NGX(NGXu), iFly737, LVLD767, XP11 (Zibo737).

So I guess that it is not directly compatible.

Sure, that's my point Gerard. I'm frustrated at not having received a reply from them.  It would be nice to know if they will be likely releasing an update in the near future to make it 2024 compatible. I guess I was hoping someone may have some news that I was unaware  of.

I understand your frustration.

Recently I had them update my MCP and it took 2 e-mails in 8 days and then I got I touch with them.

Hey, rkApps owner here, I am in the same situation, CPFlight modules are the last reason I have not migrated to MSFS 2024 yet as it prevents me from using my cockpit. I have also emailed them, lets see how it goes, I'll keep posting here for any news I have.

Thanks!

Roy.

UPDATE: I've got a reply from CPFlight via Facebook, with a request to send an email, which I did. I'll wait a bit for a response. Until then, I did notice there is a potential way to have it running via SpadNext, in which I am going to try soon. Will update.

UPDATE: I can confirm that using SpadNext it can work with MSFS 2024, yet, one need to configure all the buttons and switches manually in SpadNext, which can be a challenge and take time, yet, I'm glad there's a temporary workaround. Once I'll finish configuring it via SpadNext, I'll share here my SpadNext profile.

UPDATE: Using SpadNext I was able to get the EFIS and MCP running on MSFS 2024, no lag at all, but with one deal breaker; The EFIS Baro and Mins spring loaded rotary, are changing the values very slow, and it seems that there is no workaround / solution for that. I hoped this would save us... anyway, I guess we are back to waiting for an official solution by CPFlight... 😕

CPFlight Official Response:

"Hello also happened at the time of FS2020 we waited the addon delivery ( like PMDG, iFly…. ). About FS2024 is the same, we are waiting the official release of PMDG and other addon.

So at the moment with FS2024 we are compatible with Prosim737.

Once PMDG will delivery the Fs2024 version we will be compatible also with PMDG, but without an official release we can’t"

I also wrote to CPFlight because the MAX has now been released, the answer is:

"Ok good to know. I think that the driver for FS2020 could work also on FS2024, I think nothing is changed on the ifly SDK"

I have some panels from CPFlight, none of them work. Can anyone confirm this?

Greetings,

Daniel

I wrote to CP Flight last week as the MCP wont work correctly with the MSFS 2024 version of the ifly 737 Max, I have not received a reply.

The CP flight software confirms a connection to FSUIC and the Ifly 737 Max however when I press any buttons or dials on the CP Flight Hardware nothing changes in the plane.

If I  change the heading or altitude values in the plane these changes are reflected on the hardware.

It is almost as if there is only a "one way " communication between the plane and the hardware.

Has anyone found a workaround ?

Time to order Wingwing MCP737 and hope for other hardware like the pedestal long term.

I have almost all pedestal CPFlight 5V models

Got another answer from CPFLIGHT

"

Hello, release 107 will be online next week and will support iFly737 version for FS2020 and FS2024 as well -  so next week finally i can fly this beast 😄

Best Regards..."
