@Sweetd31Now, only issue I found is that the barracks is actually offset to the right. Where I land on the helipad right next to the hangar, is actually in the middle of the barracks, and where I land on the other helipad, is actually out of the barracks boundaries. That's the only issue. I have volanta (virtual flight tracker), and where I landed is in the middle-left of the barracks, (the hangar helipad) and not to the right where it actually is geographically.

  • Wow, another really nice scenery addon for Irealnd. I can confirm it seems to be perfectly compatible with Orbx Ireland after about 90 minutes flying around the area and lots of landings. I also teste

  • Added east Austin east of I35, now providing a clear runup to KAUS during night or day, its actually quite canny on approach if you have imaginesim Kaus objects or textures (my computer doesnt handle

@Sweetd31I am VERY sorry to ruin your pride, but it is in fact not actually geographically accurate and for some reason it bothers me. I don't like landing where there would be buildings I am landing on TOP of. It's as if where I am landing in-game is actually where the other helipad is, and not the hangar one. Everywhere else in Athlone is accurate except the barracks. SORRY! I say sorry because I know very well this sounds ungrateful.

Also, where I attempted to land on the other helipad, I looked and it was out of boundaries so I moved to the other helipad. I AM SO SORRY IT'S JUST THAT IT PROBABLY MAKES YOU UPSET THAT IT ISN'T SPOT ON! If you were to fix it, you'd probably just alter the barracks' position to slightly more left. (Like move the coordinates to its real life ones)

Just please forgive my ungratefulness, but I thought I'd point it out. 😞

Im not mad, im 100% done with this project

It was a very pleasant surprise to by chance find another scenery enhancement  being developed for Ireland for a platform as old as FSX and I have certainly enjoyed exploring an area of my old country that in FSX was previously essentially featureless.

When flying in FSX (or any other simulator) I think we need to keep in mind that it is not the real world and as such it helps to give the FSX world a bit of leeway, let go of reality and enjoy everything that it allows us to experience. A few years ago Daniel Florentin very kindly did a Gmax model of my home as a sort of thank you for my help when he was creating his helicopter scenery for Ireland, but when he did he also included a helicopter landing pad in my back garden! Although I have a large back garden, needless to say I don't have a landing pad in the real world (nor could I remotely afford a helicopter!) but when I let go of reality in my FSX world I really do enjoy landing there!!

Your work is very much appreciated and thank you once again for a really nice addon,

Bill

Fair. I'm sorry, and honestly. I'm probably going to go silent. I made an absolute shame of myself and I shall forever be ashamed of it.

I genuinely think I am not going to ask for anything else. I accidentally showed my true self and the consequences are deserved. It doesn't matter that I absolutely love everything else, I am an ungrateful Gen Z kid who is overly obsessed with technical stuff. I only say that because excuses are terrible.

Again, just say you're mad. Be honest.

I'm sorry. I had a bad day personally and I'm feeling quite under the weather. I am extremely sorry. Your scenery is amazing. The amount of flying I am doing in it is unspeakable. I am sorry for my outbursts. I am tired, I am quite ill and I forgot to control myself. I apologise deeply. I sincerely promise to never do it again. Sometimes, I have outbursts that can get out of hand, but once I calm down, I realise how idiotic I am.

  • 2 weeks later...

The link doesn't seem to be working for me so I'll look forward to the release!
